Over a Century of Union Strength
Laborers Local 165 has been proudly serving Central Illinois for over a century. Chartered in 1913, our Local was built on the core principles of solidarity, strength, and fairness on the job — and those values still guide us today.
As a proud affiliate of the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA), we’re part of a powerful movement of over half a million members across the U.S. and Canada. Together, we fight for better wages, stronger protections, and more opportunities for working people — because no one should stand alone when it comes to their rights on the job.
- We’re a brotherhood and sisterhood that looks out for one another.
- We take pride in the work we do — from building roads and bridges to hospitals and schools.
When you’re with Laborers 165, you’re part of something bigger. You’re part of a union that’s been building Illinois for over 100 years — and isn’t slowing down.
our mission is simple
