LEAN
Laborers Escaping Adversity Now
A peer support program designed to help LIUNA members and their families overcome mental health issues, substance use disorders and other types of adversity.
No one understands the challenges of being a Laborer better than another Laborer. LEAN LIUNA uses the power of peer support to make member-to-member connections built on trust and shared experience.
LEAN LIUNA programs help members:
- Take full advantage of the benefits available to them and their dependents
- Navigate coverage-related issues and connect with the right provider for their needs
- Stay engaged with fellow Laborers who support their recovery and well-being
